MARK MATTHEWS BVSc MACVSc (Sheep Medicine) Mark started Hastings clinic in 1980, in Queen Street, as a sole veterinarian. He has been with the Practice ever since and has watched it grow to 8 veterinarians and a new location in Heretaunga St. Mark is a general practitioner who is able to treat any of the wide range of animals we see including reptiles, birds, cats and dogs (not rats!!) through to farm animals and horses. His special interest is in sheep production. |

ROGER McKINLEY BVSc Having graduated form Massey University in 1978 Roger has experienced a diverse range of practice within the profession. Mixed practice has enabled a range of skills to be gained within the general pastoral farming scene. Roger has focused more on the companion animal side of the practice for a number of years now being especially involved with canine breeding programs, surgery both orthopaedic and soft tissue, ophthalmology, canine behaviour and internal medicine. |

STUART BADGER BVSc Stuart has spent over 30 years working at Vet Services in Waipukurau and Hastings. In the last 10 years his focus has been on small animals in the Hastings clinic and his special areas of interest are orthopaedic surgery and canine reproduction. Stuart is the only Vet in the lower half of the North Island freezing dog semen and he is involved in lots of frozen semen AI work, including semen importing and exporting. |

PETER EBBETT BVSc After graduating in 1989 I worked in a mixed mainly dairy practice in Northland before spending 2 ½ years working in mixed mainly dairy practice in the U.K. In late 1993 I started in the Waipukurau clinic when dairy conversions and velvetting were in full swing and when huge gains were made in breeding ewe efficiency. This stimulated my interest in animal nutrition and production. These days I am based out of the Hastings clinic where my areas of interest remains in production animal performance, genetics and reproduction, internal parasitism, dairy cow lameness and mastitis. |

RICHARD MCKENZIE BVSc Richard has experience in NZ and overseas in Large Animal and Companion Animal practices but his main field of interest is equine veterinary work. He is involved in equine dentistry (powerfloat), artificial insemination and reproduction, thoroughbred, sport and performance horses through to minor health and welfare issues. He breeds thoroughbreds and sells and races a few in the hunt for the next Sunline. Outside of work he is kept busy following his kids sporting and showjumping aspirations or can be found preferably at the beach. |

CLARE MIRAMS BVSc Clare is a Massey Graduate who joined Vet Services Hastings in 2002 after surviving 2 years in mighty Tokoroa, 2 years travelling and supposedly working overseas, and 1 year in Napier. Clare works 3 days a week focussing mainly on production animal medicine. The rest of her time is spent looking after her daughter, orcharding with her husband and enjoying the odd glass of Hawke's Bays finest. |

NEIL STUTTLE BVSc Hello, my name is Neil Stuttle and I have been a veterinarian at Vet Services Hastings for the past 18 months. Since graduating 10 years ago from Massey University I have spent time in mixed practice in New Zealand and overseas in the United Kingdom. My time in the UK was spent mainly in small ( pet ) animal practice pursuing my interest in general medicine and surgery in cats, dogs and rabbits. I enjoy the challenges working in general practice provides, no two days are ever the same! When not at work I enjoy cycling, walking, gardening and spending time with Suz my wife and Caleb my 9 month old son. JANE NICHOLS BVSc Jane is an Edinburgh graduate of 1993 and spent her first ten years working in mixed practice in England focussing mainly on small animals. Jane has been in New Zealand for over seven years now and works three days a week in the Hastings clinic. Jane has particular interest in the internal medicine of cats, dogs, rabbits and other small pets, dermatology and dentistry. Off duty, Jane enjoys cycling, gardening, taekwando and gardening. ______________________________________________________________
HELEN TAYLOR BVSc MRCVS Helen graduated from Bristol University in 2002 and worked in a mixed practice based in sunny rural Devon for two years. Helen also spent two and a half years based in Antarctica working to conserve penguins, albatross and seals. She then returned to the UK to work in a mixed practice in Herefordshire beofe moving to the sunnier climes of New Zeland for a look around and is still here and loving it! Helen is mainly involved with the production animal side of the business. Outside of work Helen enjoys tramping, exploring the country-side on two wheels and enjoying crayfish caught by her fisherman partner. |
