Vet Services are pleased to announce that we have recently acquired HB Sheep Handling Services, a sheep conveyor, mobile shower dipping and jetting business.
Vet Services are very proud of our long standing and close involvement with the sheep industry. When the opportunity arose to purchase HB Sheep Handling from Waipukurau local James Tennent, we jumped at the chance to expand our services and to build on our animal health and management solutions, particularly with sheep. We look forward to the team getting on farm and adding value to you, our clients.
With the use of the sheep conveyer our Rural Technicians will now offer a variety of sheep handling services maximising efficiency and reducing labour costs for sheep farmers across the region, particularly when handling large numbers of animals for a range of animal management tasks, animal health treatments, and fly control. The conveyor allows for multiple tasks to be performed in one pass, including drenching, vaccinating, bolus application, animal management task such as mouthing/culling, external parasite control, etc. Basically, any task you would perform up the race can be done with much greater ease and productivity across the conveyor.
The Vet Services team are in the process of employing an enthusiastic and experienced technician to help manage the business across Napier, Hastings, Central Hawke’s Bay, Southern Hawkes Bay and Wairarapa. James will be assisting us with the transition to ensure there is no disruption to existing and new clients. Our intention is to ensure that transition is seamless and ensure we continue on the wonderful work and exceptional service that James has provided to you previously.
