Geert arrived in Central Hawke’s Bay in 2006, emigrating with his family from the Netherlands where he had been working in a large animal veterinary practice. Work in the Netherlands was mainly focussed on dairy animal health, management and nutrition, but part of his time was spent in the pig industry as well. Geert enjoys work on the production animal side of Vet Services (HB) Ltd and still has a special interest in animal health management and nutrition. He is an Intelact Farm Consultant and has done further training in NZ regarding the environmental challenges facing the agricultural businesses in Central Hawke’s Bay.
