Vicki Gilchrist

Veterinarian Vicki graduated from the Royal Veterinary College in London in 2005. After working in busy clinics in the UK for 6 years she packed her bags to experience life overseas.

Her first job in New Zealand was as a locum in the Waipukurau clinic in January 2011 and she liked it so much that after finishing her travels she came back and started a permanent position in our Hastings clinic.

Vicki has since married a farmer and has 3 energetic sons who keep her busy when she’s not working.

After maternity leave, Vicki is now back to stay part-time in the Hastings clinic and is loving the variety and really enjoying working with such a great team again. She has years of experience in the UK with rabbits and other small furry creatures, enjoys getting stuck in to interesting medical cases and loves a good stitch up.

In her spare time she likes to practice yoga and can be kept happy with a good book and a cup of tea.
