NAPIER

Vet Nurse  

We have a rare opening for a full time veterinary nurse to join our progressively growing veterinary clinic in the heart of Napier.

We are looking for a highly motivated person with minimum of 1 year experience in all aspects of companion animal veterinary nursing (patient care and handling, anaesthetic monitoring and recovery, laboratory work). The ideal candidate will be a great communicator, able to work individually as well as part of a team, happy to take responsibilities and never be afraid of a busy day.

The role will include a reception duties with both companion and large animal retail.

We offer a great place to work, fun and supportive team, regular training and CPD and great midwinter functions.

This position will be based in our Napier clinic and will have a standard eight hour day rostered between 7.30am – 5.30pm Monday to Friday with a weekend rotation, 9am – 3pm Saturday and Sunday. There is also a requirement to be on-call as part of shared roster.

WAIPUKURAU

PRODUCTION ANIMAL VETERINARIAN 

We are looking for another fantastic Veterinarian to join our growing team in Central Hawke’s Bay. 

Our Waipukurau clinic has a strong focus on sheep and beef but as a mixed practice you will also benefit from having exposure to and working with deer, dairy, equine and companion animals.

You will work closely with a variety of farming clients to identify all their animal health needs and business goals while being surrounded by a wealth of knowledge and support. You will have the opportunity to develop other more specific areas of interest through involvement in large-scale artificial breeding programmes, product trials, and industry leading research.

Rural Technician 

We have a fantastic opportunity for a motivated individual who relates well to farmers both on farm and in clinic, has excellent communication skills and can throw their hand to a multitude of different tasks in an environment where no two days are the same.

Key aspects of the role include:

  • On-farm work including dehorning, teatsealing, conveyor, lifestyle block services
  • Assisting veterinarians with various procedures
  • Equipment maintenance and organisation
  • In-house lab testing including FEC, Nitrate and FE spore counts
  • General property maintenance
