TEStimonals:

Testimonial from Vita:
Studying to be a Veterinary Nursing assistant (NZ Certificate in Animal Technology) was a great experience, especially with the added opportunity of a paid work placement scholarship at Vet Services Hawke’s Bay. It was valuable to apply what I learned in class directly into practice, which not only helped reinforce my understanding but also gave me confidence in real-world situations. The placement also allowed me to build strong connections with experienced veterinary professionals, and I was pleased when it led to a fixed-term contract! I’m grateful for the chance to develop my skills in such a supportive environment.

Testimonial from Brooke:
In 2023 i received the vet services scholarship as a level 5 eit student. This scholarship allowed me to put my studies into practice. Due to the cyclone the first 8 months of my level 5 certificate in animal technology was online, so being able to put my class content into work allowed me to gain a better understanding of the processes and techniques that worked for me to gain the best results. After completing my scholarship hours in august 2023 I was offered a permanent part time position as an animal care assistant and in September 2024 was offered a full time position within the team and in December 2024 will become a veterinary nurse at the Waipukurau clinic once I graduate. This scholarship offered me many learning experiences and a better understanding of class content and has allowed me to gain employment in a kind and welcoming team full of people who are willing to help and support you and continually help you progress within the industry.
